Pregnancy Yoga and Movement for Core and Pelvic Floor
Congratulations you’re pregnant! Now what?!
Aching body?
Feeling weak?
Wondering what exercise is safe, and what you should be doing or not be doing?
Can you exercise your core during pregnancy? (Yes and you should!)
Do you have to accept increased leaking of pee or incontinence or urgency to go to the toilet? (No!)
Can you train your body to stack the cards in your favour of having the birth you want? (Yes, you can!)
Can you train your body during pregnancy to speed up healing after birth? (Yes, you can!)
Each class will include movements to increase strength and flexibility, so your body and particularly your core and pelvic floor are responsive and reflexive ready for whatever they are required to do (carry the weight of a baby and placenta and water, give birth (whether vaginal or c-section), recover from giving birth). We’ll release tired and achy muscles, whilst getting muscles that have forgotten they have a job to do working again! We’ll also bring in some relaxation to ease the body from the stresses of everyday life. Finally, I believe all of our bodies feel better and function better when we have a better understanding of the way they work. As I’m teaching you a movement, I drop in why we’re doing it, I check that you’re all working the right muscles and I’ll give you ideas of ways that you can incorporate these movements into your daily life.
I am a very interactive teacher. I want to be able to see what you are all doing and offer help where needed. As such I restrict my pregnancy class to a maximum of 8 women.
You will receive a FREE gift of a video of exercises to do after your baby arrives to help start the reconnection to your core and pelvic floor for you to start whenever you are ready and before you can join my Mums and Babies Yoga and Movement class.
Unfortunately due to my costs being the same, it is not possible to refund you for a missed class.
Frequently asked questions
When can I start?
You can start as soon as you know you’re pregnant. There is a lot of fearmongering about not starting exercise in the first trimester due to the general increased risk of miscarriage at this time, but there is no evidence that exercise increases the risk of miscarriage in a normal healthy pregnancy. If you have any concerns, please speak to your doctor or midwife first. I am also happy to have a free no obligation chat with you. The earlier you start doing the class the longer your body and your mind have to absorb all the benefits.
What if my baby comes early?
Unused parts of blocks or blocks will be refunded – please give 24 hours’ notice before the class for a refund for that class.

On a 1-2-1 basis, I will assess your movement patterns, providing you with the knowledge you need to feel strong and reduce aches and pains. Prehab is much easier than rehab!
